Everything's Better with Friends and Family

Seriously, everything is better with friends! We loved our trip to the Zoo with Parker. And of course, two cute boys had to ride the hippo statues.
My sister also came for a weekend visit prior to a (convenient) meeting for work. It was super fun to have her stay with us for a couple days and tour parts of the city (like Navy Pier and the Children's Museum, my first time walking downtown, and visiting Trader Joe's). The cutest part was how much Mickey loved to wake up early and run into the play room where we set up her temporary bed, and then sit and whisper and sing with her until mom and dad got up. Auntie J got an awesomely adorable video of him singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" that is my favorite. Love you sis!
I also enjoyed seeing these two for a few hours as they drove cross country to a new home. It's always nice to chat and hear stories.
We also had to kick off festival season with some friends and some kites. We biked down to the only hill in these parts for some kite-flying fun. Goose loved (eating) the grass and Mickey surprised me by flying his first kite all by himself! He got it quite high (it's the one at the top of the first picture below). The company could not be surpassed either - Mickey's taken quite a liking to Katie and her whole family.
On one of the first warmer days of the year, Parker invited us over to his house for Joy School and some fun times in the water table and sand box. They had such a good time together and my boys especially loved it since it was a pretty new experience for them both.
"Courtney and Robin" (-Mickey) ventured to the aquarium with us one Tuesday as well. The added help was a nice break for me, the company was fantastic, and the littles loved having friends with us. Thank you both for your patience with us as we ventured through.
A special thanks to Miss Robin who is the sweetest and was willing to help a ton with Mickey as we were at the beginning of potty training and we had to use the restroom frequently and had an accident.

Friends and family are definitely the best! Thank you to all of those who spent and continue to spend time with us! We love you!
